The tanker that should have plunged into the city crashed into the coast earlier than scheduled.

“The tanker….What happened……”

Leon pressed his forehead and hands against the glass wall, staring at the Marina Bay intently and then with a squeak, his hands dropped.

“He, hey, I’ll do whatever you say. Please don’t shoot me!!”

Next to Leon, Nakatomi Reijirou was cowering, pressing against head. However, Rishi did not put down his gun.

A gunshot rang out and a bullet found its mark right next to Reijirou.

“Hyaaaa! Help! Please don’t kill me~~~!”

Reijirou, who had gone weak at the knees crouched on the spot, covering his head.

“Rishi-kun……you can’t seriously be shooting at us……”

Leon said but Rishi only pointed the gun at him silently.

“Jamaluddin!”

Leon turned his head with the intention to ask for help but Jamaluddin walked away from Leon and crossed his arms.

“Wa, wait. Jamaluddin, what are you thinking?!”

“The only reason I worked for you was to fight against Kyougoku. I have no such reason anymore.”

“What…………?!”

Leon was stunned and Rishi called out his name “Leon-sensei.”

“Pardon me but have your skills become a little dull? You’re not the one who was putting the world in motion. I was.”

Still holding the gun at an armed position, Rishi’s eyes suddenly became wide open. Leon flinched as he saw that brooding expression, a face he had never seen before.

“It can’t be……you……”

Rishi exerted force on the finger that was placed on the trigger of the gun.

“Wai, wait. Please wait! I’ll give this to you!”

Leon held out the attache case that he carried.

“The jewel is inside. It’s a good deal, isn’t it? …Rishi-kun.”

However, Rishi did not respond to Leon’s deal. He pulled the trigger.

It fired—At the moment when Leon used the attache case to protect his head, a single poker card flew down, striking Rishi’s hand.

The poker card pierced into the ground and the gun that was sent flying hit the deck chairs.

Leon and Rishi both looked up—It was Kid holding his card gun and Conan. Conan jumped down. When Rishi tried to reach for his gun that had landed on the deck chair, Conan landed above it and the gun got sent flying. It went over the trees and bushes by the pool side and landed in the pool with a splash.

At the same time, wire that was shot down from the sky wrapped itself around Rishi, binding him to a pillar. Kid, holding the wire gun, landed next to him and Conan ran up to the both of them.

“Kaito Kid?!”

Reijirou exclaimed as he continued crouching on the ground. Rishi who was tied to the pillar saw Conan standing next to Kid and leaned his body forward.

“Wh, why is Arthur-kun here?!”

 

Ran took the elevator from the first floor lobby of Tower Three then she noticed that she received a message from Conan.

“A message from Conan-kun? What’s going on…..?”

She wanted to call him back immediately but the call would not go through.

Then the elevator stopped. When she got out, she realized that she had not reached the roof.

“Um, to get to the roof, I have to change elevators on the thirty fourth floor.

At the same time Ran headed in the direction of the elevator she was supposed to change to, the door of another elevator opened. The elevator was occupied by the group of pirates and once they noticed Ran running away, they chased after her.

“Hey!”

“Wait!”

Eugene who was among them, raised his hand to stop his henchmen. He operated his smart phone, displaying the picture that had been sent to him by a certain person. It was a photo of Sonoko walking around Merlion Park. He swiped the display and next photo that was shown had Ran and Sonoko taken in the same picture.

Eugene looked at the photo and snorted. He walked off leading the other pirates behind him.

 

On the opposite side of the shore where the tanker collided—That was, the shore which was connected by a bridge built on the north of Marina Bay Sands was the world’s largest observation wheel, the Singapore Flyer.

Two of the pirates rode on a small boat and went along the side of that shore, firing rockets at the opposite side.

The group of giant trees in the botanical gardens “Gardens by The Bay” were hit one after another, sending dark smoke rising upwards.

A fierce shoot out was unfolding between the pirates and police officers within the botanical gardens that was going up in flames.

Inspector Aiden who was also engaging in the shoot out from the cover of his patrol car was shooting at the pirates when he noticed that they were all running in the same direction.

The object that laid in the direction where the pirates were running towards—Inspector Aiden looked up at the three towering high rise towers that was behind the gardens.

“Are they heading towards Marina Bay Sands?!”

 

Rishi, who was tied up against the pillar tried to move his body to loosen the wire. However the wire would not slacken at all and Rishi looked at Conan and Kid.

“Wha, what are you doing? I was trying to arrest these two, who were the masterminds behind all this!”

“Drop your lousy act, Rishi Ramanasan.”

Conan addressed the former by his full name.

“We already know you’re the one pulling the strings.”

“Ku….”

“What tipped us off in the beginning was Kid’s advance notice that was left at the crime scene.”

“The police officers only noticed the card right after you arrived, correct, Rishi?”

Kid asked and Rishi averted his gaze.

“And earlier, when I asked you where Leon-san would be when the time comes, it confirmed my suspicions about you.”

“What….?!”

Rishi looked at Conan, shocked.

“For someone as conceited as Leon-san, he has no reason to flee aboard when the success of his plan was close at hand. He would definitely want to witness the entire thing unfold from the place with the best view….And you couldn’t possibly have not been aware of that!”

“……Well, this is surprising. So you were just testing me with that, huh?”

“This all started five years ago. And your father’s accident was what started this plan, right?”

Conan said and then he showed the display of his smart phone.  On it was one of Singapore’s news articles from five years ago. It was a photo of a man in hand cuffs surrounded by news reporters. Sherilyn Tan was next to the man.

“”Oceanographer murdered. Suspect who initially denied charges admits guilt” . If I’m not wrong…”

While reading out the headline of the news article, Conan turned his head and Reijirou jumped with a “Hii!”

“It was also five years ago when you first visited Singapore right? Nakatomi-san.”

“N, no, I……”

“Leon-san caught the culprit while Sherilyn Tan acted as his attorney and made him admit his guilt. I don’t think that’s just a mere coincidence.”

Reijirou frowned saying “What do you mean……?” when he heard Conan’s words, then Leon clicked his tongue lightly.

“It was a ploy to get all the tankers owned by Nakatomi Shipping.”

Kid replied with a grin and Conan continued to speak.

“It was all planned out. There was also one more trap……You noticed it, didn’t you?”

And he looked at Rishi.

“……I also thought it was an accident at first. However I noticed something when I was sorting through my father’s belongings. I realised that as my father was investigating some underwater remains, by chance, he found a sunken ship where the Fist of Blue Sapphire, the proof of the Pirate King, was likely to be resting.”

Rishi glared at Leon.

“That’s why you started by killing my father, right?! To prevent him from recovering the jewel first!”

Conan also directed his gaze at Leon who looked slightly shaken.

“If someone fell into the sea in front of him, then Rishi-san’s father who had a strong sense of justice would definitely jump in without fail, right? And the one pushed the man into the water was most likely Rachael-san.”

Hearing Conan’s words, Reijirou’s face became pale.

Five years ago—Reijirou had boarded a boat together with Leon and he steered the boat while downing alcohol.

Then while being completely drunk, Reijirou crashed his boat into Rishi’s father who had jumped into the sea to save a drowning man.

“Wha, what’s the meaning of this. Leon, you….”

Reijirou grabbed the front of Leon’s chest.

“Let go of me!”

Leon swung his attache case around, hitting Reijirou.

Looking down coldly at Reijirou who had fallen onto the ground, Leon straightened his crumpled suit.

“Rishi-kun, you’re misunderstanding something. The one who killed your father was sent to prison….”

Rishi shot a glare at Leon.

“Because I had doubts about my father’s death, I came to this country, became your disciple and became an auxiliary police officer. Then I started my own investigations about the accident. I became acquainted with Sherilyn Tan who had been in charge of defending him. When I approached her, asking if she had any info about the case of Reijirou that could shake up Leon, she briefly told me.”

“That woman….”
Leon muttered hatefully.

“Then there’s Rachael. Every bit of information on you was leaked to me through her.”

“In that case” Leon jabbed a finger at Kid.

“For what reason did you stick Kid’s advanced notice there?”

“Why don’t you tell us?” Kid also looked at Rishi, smiling broadly.

“There’s the “Fist of Blue Sapphire” as well as a murder he had nothing to do with. With those two dangled in front of him, I knew for sure the phantom thief would show up. Then he’ll interfere with your plans for me. That high school detective arriving here was not within my expectations but he served his role well.”

“Grr.” Leon chewed on his lip in regret. Then Reijirou who was lying on the ground pushed his upper body away from the ground and looked at Jamaluddin with a desperate expression.

“Nakatomi-san.” Rishi called him。

“That time when you got suspected of theft and Leon-sensei got you out of that mess, I wonder if it’s really just a coincidence? Think about it carefully. It might all be….”

Being told that by Rishi, Reijirou eventually realized what had happened.

Leon had set the stage up for everything in order to get the tankers belonging to Nakatomi shipping under his control.

“Ah, ahhhhhhhhh……you bastard!!”

Leon laughed softly.

“Fu fu, you really left no stone unturned, huh, Rishi-kun.”

At that moment, there was a loud crash and everyone present turned their heads towards the pool at the same time.

 

Kogorou who was sleeping next to the deck chairs by the pool side finally woke up and he let out a huge yawn “Fwaaaaa~~~~~”

“Hm, where am I?”

And he looked around. Then—

“Otou-san!”

Ran’s voice came from behind him.

“Ohh, Ran, owaaaaa!”

Kogorou waved at her then he missed his footing, fell over and took a tumble into the pool.

“Otou-san!!”

Ran frantically rushed towards the pool.

 

(Ran’s voice?!)

Just when Conan noticed that he heard Ran’s voice coming from the direction of the pool, they all heard the sounds of multiple footsteps getting closer to them.

“What………?!”

The pirates, armed with weapons, showed up.

 

Kogorou, who had fallen into the pool, got his face out of the water and spat water out. He grabbed something from the bottom of the pool and held it up. It was Rishi’s gun.

“Uwoh! What is this?!”

In his surprise, he threw it away.

“Otou-san……”

Ran called him and when he looked at the pool side—Ran was surrounded by armed pirates. They had grabbed both her arms and a knife was pointed right at her throat.

“Ran!”

 

 

The pirates were firing their rocket launcher relentlessly from the opposite shore towards the Gardens by the Bay where Inspector Aiden was.

Flames rose all around him and it seemed like the area was on the way to becoming a sea of fire.

Inspector Aiden scrambled into his patrol car and while driving on the back road, he yelled through his wireless communicator.

“Fall back and regroup! Convey that to the helicopter squad as well!”

Just then, one of the rockets landed nearby causing the patrol car to be hit by the shockwave.

The glass window on the driver’s side shattered into tiny pieces raining down on Inspector Aiden who was in the front passenger seat.

 

Conan and Kid raised both their hands up as the pirates aimed their guns at them.

Rishi, who was still bound to the pillar, also had a gun pointed at him and he bit his lip.

“Now then, Rishi-kun. Unfortunately, the tables have turned.”

Leon smiled and he called out “Eugene” before lobbing his attache case.

“The plan seems to have failed. You can take this jewel. Take care of the people who are here.”

Eugene opened the attache case and checked the blue sapphire that was inside.

Then he turned his head towards the henchman who had his gun pointed at Rishi and nodded.

The henchman undid the wire that was coiled around Rishi.

“Wh, what are you doing?!”

Leon was aghast and another henchman pointed his gun at him ordering “Don’t move!”. Reijirou, who saw the situation, squealed with a “Hii!” and scurried backward. Then his foot caught on the edge of the jacuzzi pool and he fell into it.

“H, help~~~~!”

Eugene shot a brief glance at Reijirou who was flailing his limbs in the Jacuzzi then he snapped the attache case shut and held it up.

“Now that I have the jewel, I have no need for you.”

“What?!”

Leon chased after Eugene who was about to leave the area but the henchmen pointed their guns at him.

“I’m not a man who can’t keep his promises. It’s just that there was a more lucrative offer.”

Eugene said and then he left.

Something more profitable? What could that be—Conan suddenly realised something.

“You guys are aiming for……!”

Conan snarled and Rishi walked towards him while holding a gun, laughing.

“You sure are observant, kid. That’s right. The daughter of the Suzuki Financial Corporation is in that hotel. We probably can get an astronomical sum of ransom money if we kidnap her.”

“Hasn’t that little lady already evacuated the area?”

Kid, who still had both his hands raised up, interjected.

“She should be still in her suite. I called her room and told her that she should not leave the room no matter what.”

Rishi said, brimming with confidence.

 

The pirates who were having a shootout with the police outside had gathered inside the first floor lobby of the Marina Bay Sands.

Eugene who had descended the elevator contacted them over their wireless communicators.

“The target is inside the suite. Go from below so she can’t run.”

“Understood.”

“How’s the situation outside?”

“I think we might have overdone it a bit. The hotel is surrounded by fire.”

“On the contrary, it’s better for keeping the police out.”

 

Just as Sonoko was being depressed by herself on the sofa in the living room of her suite, a terrifying noise came from the direction of the door.

“Eh?!”

She looked at the door in surprise and then BAAAAAANNNGGG!!

The door fell over and Kyougoku entered the room briskly. Kyougoku had kicked the door down.

“Wa, wait a minute. Makoto-san?!”

“Please excuse me.”

Kyougoku ran close to Sonoko and without waiting for any questions, he carried her.

“All the elevators have stopped.”

“Eh?!”

“Let’s get out of here.”

While carrying Sonoko up, he ran out of the room. Then when he went past the front of the elevators—the pirates got out of the elevator that had reached their floor.

“There! Come on!!”

One of the pirates who was giving chase suddenly fired his gun.

“Kyaaa!”

Kyougoku, carrying Sonoko who let out a scream, quickly hid after turning the corner of the corridor. He briefly poked his head out only to be fired at immediately.

“Don’t shoot! You’ll hit her!!”

The pirates kept their guns and they drew out their knives.

“Ma, Makoto-san……what’s going on……”

Kyougoku looked at Sonoko and then observed the pirates.

 

The two pirates who were on the coast where the observation wheel “Singapore Flyer” was located, climbed the support structure of the observation wheel that was lit up and then fired rockets continuously from the top.

The surrounding area of Marina Bay Sands had become a sea of fire. The crimson flames spread out and the wind blowing in from the coast cause sparks and smoke the rise into the night sky.

“Look. In the end, everything will play out the way I pictured. This city will be razed to the ground and reborn!”

Leon who looked down from the roof of the hotel at the waves of fire spreading across the ground laughed loudly with his arms akimbo. Then Rishi jammed the muzzle of his gun into his mouth.

“But you won’t be alive to see it……!”

He glared at Leon with eyes that were filed with hatred.

At the moment the pirates got distracted by Rishi’s actions—Kid who had his hands raised up suddenly produced smoke balls in his hand and flung them on the ground.

“Wha!” “Uwoh!”

In a flash, smoke rose up and spread even to the pool side where Ran and Kogorou were.

 

The pool side also got enveloped in smoke and the surroundings became white. Just as the pirates who had captured Ran and Kogorou were coughing, choking on the smoke, Ran dealt a strong blow against one of the pirates. After that, she leapt high in the air, breaking through the smoke and unleashed a round house kick on the remaining pirates.

Suddenly, a large built pirate appeared in the smoke. He swung down his long arms at Ran’s head but Ran dodged the attack and struck him. The huge man bent backwards for a brief moment but quickly recovered and lunged at Ran.

I can’t dodge this—when she thought that, Kogorou had grabbed the man’s wrist.

“Oryaaaaaaa!”

And the giant of a man was sent flying with a one armed shoulder throw.

“Otou-san!”

Ran grabbed Kogorou’s arm and ran. Then the pirate who got kicked by Ran got up and shot at Ran and Kogorou who were running away. The bullet hit the ground next to their feet and ricocheted.

Conan ran over under the cover of the smoke and quickly turned the dial on his Kick Enhancing Shoes. Then he ran towards a chair that were placed by the pool side.

“Take this!!”

He sent the chair flying at the pirate who was firing his gun.

The chair flew in a straight line while cutting through the smoke and struck the pirate in the back, sending him flying.

 

On the other hand, Kyougoku, who was escaping through the corridors while carrying Sonoko, eventually got cornered by the pirates.

“Get them now!”

One of the pirates lunged at Kyougoku. However, Kyougoku dodged that pirates punch and did a round house kick to his mid-section. Then another pirate approached Kyogoku from behind and kicked him in the back.

“Kyaa! Makoto-san!!”

Kyougoku managed to hold his ground but Sonoko, who was being carried by him, felt the impact.

“Kuu……”

The charm bracelet in his right hand entered his vision and Leon’s words played out in his head again.

“Your fist is dangerous and it might hurt the person you love.”

The pirates slowly closed in on Kyougoku.

When they were half a step away, Kyogoku quickly shifted his eyes in order to check his surroundings then he steeled his will and sprinted away.

“Wha wha wha what—–?!”

Sonoko was shocked and while she was still in his arms, Kyougoku leapt in the direction of the wall and running along the wall, he went above the pirate’s heads. He spun once mid-air, landed on the ground and ran through the corridor with a fierce momentum.

“After them!!”

Eugene and the others who have descended from the roof via elevator also joined in and chased after Kyougoku.

Kyougoku who ran through the corridor step out into the emergency stairwell. He locked the door and peered downward and saw that there were pirates climbing up the staircase.

Furthermore, the pirates who were chasing behind him were beating against the door.

“They’re here! They’re here!” Hugging Sonoko who was clinging onto him, Kyougoku dashed up the staircase.

 

There were multiple patrol cars that had retreated from the scene stopped on the highway that was new Merlion Park. Inspector Aiden and other officers stood up at the pedestrian walkway and looked at the Marina Bay Sands which was on the opposite shore, engulfed in flames.

Then, Zhong Han Chen, together with his bodyguards got out of the limousine that was parked in front of the patrol cars.

“What is going on here?”

“I don’t know. Most of the pirates are now in the hotel.”

Inspector Aiden replied and Zhong Han stared at Marina Bay Sands with a harsh expression.

“Just what is going on inside……?”

“It’s dangerous here. Please get back.”

Inspector Aiden stopped Zhong Han who had placed his hands on the handrail.

 

Within the smoke, Conan jumped on the deck chairs that were lined up in the middle of the pool and he moved to the outer border of the pool.

Then the large man who got thrown by Kogorou down onto the ground by the pool side slowly got up. When he saw Conan, he picked up a deck chair and threw it.

Conan got hit by the deck chair and was sent flying over the outer edge of the pool and fell outside the fence. Conan managed to quickly grab the side of the building that was below the fence and was hanging from it but the deck chair that got sent flying with him landed on the ground about two hundred metres beneath him and it looked like it might take him down with it—

“Ku……!”

While dangling from one arm, Conan raised his head. Then, another deck chair was sent out over the fence and it swayed gently. It’s going to fall—Just as Conan thought that, the deck chair tipped over the fence and fell.

The deck chair directly hit Conan who was hanging from the side of the ceiling and Conan was sent plunging downward.

The deck chair fell alongside Conan at a rapid speed. While Conan was falling, he changed the direction of his body and got onto the deck chair. He stood on the deck chair like it was a skateboard and slid down against the wall.

However, the deckchair bounced upward sending Conan’s body flying once more.

“Waaaaaa—!!”

Conan fell at a fierce speed and the fire that was on the ground was getting closer.

“Crap!”

Am I just going to fall like this—just as that thought crossed his mind, white wings appeared from within the black smoke that was billowing upward. It was Kid’s hang glider!

Kid caught Conan who was falling and rose up parallel to the tower of the hotel.

“Are you alright?”

“Ye, yeah.”

Conan looked down at the ground from high up and inhaled sharply.

“If this goes on, the city will really be destroyed!”

Just as Kid said, although the tanker had avoided plunging straight into the city, the surroundings of Marina Bay Sands was covered in fire and it was slowly spreading.

(Damn. Isn’t there any good way to stop this……)?

Conan looked around the ground and his eyes stopped at the observation wheel that was on the opposite shore. There was a pirate firing one rocket after another on top of the observation wheel.

“If we use that….it’s possible. Kid!”

Conan looked at Kid and told him something. Kid who heard Conan’s words widened his eyes.

“Are you serious?!”

“Of course!”

The two who soared in the sky using the hang glider looked down at the Sands Sky Park which was on the roof of Marina Bay Sands. Near the tip of the building, they could see Kyougoku running out with Sonoko in his arms. Furthermore, there were pirates chasing them from behind.

“It’s that guy from before!”

“Shoot him down!!”

The pirates who noticed Kid’s hang glider fired their machine guns at Kid from the observation deck that was at the edge of the roof. Kid flew off, getting away from Marina Bay Sands.

The pirates stopped shooting and lowered their machine guns.

“Boss, we can’t hit him.”

Eugene, who was holding onto the attache case, clicked his tongue.

“Pesky little bird. Kill him if he gets close again.”

“Roger.”

Kid flew away from the Marina Bay Sands then made a turn to approach the roof once more.

“Hey. Before we carry that plan of yours out, we got to do something about those pirates……”

Kid said as he shifted Conan to his left arm and then pulled out the card gun he had in his suit.

“I only have one more shot in my card gun….”

“There’s one more way isn’t there? A way to turn the tables in one shot.”

Conan pointed and Kyougoku who was at the Sky park. Kyougoku who was holding onto Sonoko ran away from the pirates while knocking the bar tables over. Finally, he got chased all the way to one corner of the terrace seating.

Kid looked at the charm bracelet around Kyougoku’s right hand and grinned.

“I get it. I’m diving in!”

Kid accelerated his hang glider and dived towards the Sky Park and the pirates who were gathered at the observation deck started to shoot.

Kyougoku who got chased to the Terrence seats leapt over the fence and landed on the path that led to the observation deck. The pirates that ran to the observation deck swung their metal rods at him.

Kyougoku dodged the pirates’ attack and the charm bracelet on his right wrist gave off a shine. Kid, who was flying through the air with his hang glider, aimed his card gun and pulled the trigger.

The card released from the muzzle pierced through the gaps between the pirates on the observation deck and sliced through the charm bracelet on Kyougoku’s right wrist.

The charm bracelet that had its wire cut fell onto the floor.

The next instant, Kyougoku released a powerful punch at the pirate’s body. Dull sounds rang out and one after another, the pirates were sent flying.

The metal staff that was held by one of the pirates struck a pole that was in the middle of the observation deck and broke.

In front of Kyougoku’s overwhelming strength, the remaining pirates flinched. “Uuu……”

“Makoto-san?!”

Kyougoku, who stood like a guardian deity as he carried Sonoko, was like a completely different person from before when he only kept up his defense. An amazing fighting spirit rose up from him—

Eugene, who was at the observation deck, gave an order and the pirates all aimed their guns at Kyougoku. Then there was a sound of the tables getting pushed over from the bar terrace seating area and Jamaluddin showed up. He stepped on the fence and landed on the walkway where Kyougoku was.

“Stay back. He’s mine!”

Jamaluddin declared and slowly and quietly, he took up a ready stance.

 

Kid’s hang glider flew over the observation deck and flew along the side of the Sky Park before rising into the air swiftly.

“Kid! Take me to the pool side!”

“Alrighty!”

Kid turned his hang glider around and descended in the direction of the pool side.

 

Ran and Kogorou got chased to a dead end along the path that was next to the deck chairs on the jacuzzi pool side.

Kogorou stood in front of Ran and faced the huge thug and his comrades.

“There’s nowhere you can run to now.”

The huge thug took out a folding knife and drew closer to Kogorou and Ran.

“Ran, stay back.”

Ran who wanted to step forward was held back by Kogorou who stuck out his hand. Then,

“Ran—-!!”

A voice called out her name from some place.

(Eh……)

When Ran got shocked, Conan leapt down from the hang glider and landed on the deck chairs that were some distance away from Ran and Kogorou.

Then the deck chairs that were lined up in a row all the way to the end of the path got pushed against each other as they headed in the direction of the pirates.

“Goooooooo—!!”

The deck chairs that stacked onto each other as they got pushed got thrown into the air and landed on top of the pirates heads–!

Just when the huge thug realised that there were deck chairs overshadowing him over his head,

“Iyaaaa—-!!”

Ran’s left fist came flying at him and bashed into his face. The huge thug hit the ground and his knife fell and stabbed the ground in front of him.

“….What in the world is going on here?”

Kogoro looked at the deck chairs that piled on top of the pirates and tilted his head.

“I heard Shinichi’s voice….”

Ran realised that she seemed to have heard Shinichi’s voice calling her name and she looked around her. Then from the direction of the piled up deck chairs, Conan suddenly stuck his head out.

“Onee-san, are you alright?”

“Arthur-kun! Why are you here?”

Conan gulped. He was so caught up in helping Ran that he did not really give much thought to it.

“Ah……oh, I was worried about you, onee-san……”

“Thank you.”

Ran smiled and then looked around once more.

“Oh come on, where is he?!”

And she puffed out her cheeks.

Seeing that she was energetic, Conan let out a sigh of relief.

Kid who dropped Conan at the pool area left by himself and headed to the edge of the Sky Park where the observation deck was.

Eugene and the other pirates were standing at the observation deck and Kid fired his wire gun at them.

The wire that left the muzzle caught onto the attache case that Eugene was holding and he yanked it upward.

“Wh, what?! Woah!”

Eugene gave chase to the attache case that was floating in mid-air and he fell down the steps.

The attache case that was attached to the wire gradually rose up and Kid, who was flying in the air, grabbed it.

“Heh, thank you!”

Kid gave a small salute using his hand which held onto the wire gun and his hang glider ascended.

 

The other pirates rushed up to Eugene who had tumbled onto the path below. Rishi also rushed to the area.

“Damn!”

Eugene got up and before him, Jamaluddin who had received an attack from Kyougoku skidded and took a huge back step. However, he immediately rushed at Kyougoku after that.

While holding onto Sonoko, Kyougoku dodged Jamaludin’s kick and even stopped the incoming punch with his right hand.

“Kuh……!”

“Makoto-san!”

He was able to take down the pirates with one hand but as expected, that situation did not happen for Jamaluddin.

 

Kyougoku grabbed Jamaluddin’s fist and a single bead of sweat flowed down from his temple.

 

Eugene used his wireless communicator to contact the pirates who were firing the rocket launcher form the top of the observation wheel.

“Kid took the jewel. Can you shoot him down?”

“OK, boss.”

The pirate out down his wireless communicator and peered through the night vision scope that was equipped onto the rocket launcher.

In the sky above Marina Bay Sands, Kid’s hang glider could be seen—

Aiming at Kid, the pirate fired a rocket.

However, when he noticed that Kid had narrowly avoided it by taking a steep drop downwards, he had already dived between the towers.

“Damn! Stay still…..!”

The pirate focused the eye that was peering through the night vision scope and then Kid’s hang glider appeared once more.

He was flying right below Sands Sky Park, in front of Tower three—

“Take this!”

The moment the rocket was launched in Kid’s direction, the Kid who was flying under the Sky Park abruptly turned in the direction of the observation wheel.

“!!”

That was a Kid puppet.

The rocket struck the base of the Sky Park and there was an intense explosion.

The Sky Park wobbled violently.

“Kyaaa!”

Sonoko grabbed onto Makoto.

“We’ll be okay, Sonoko-san.”

At the brief moment when Kyougoku got distracted by Sonoko, Jamaluddin’s fist came into contact with Kyougoku’s face.

“Gwah!!”

“Kyaa!!”

Kyougoku’s glasses were sent flying. Still holding onto Sonoko, Kyougoku was somehow able to maintain his footing and stop himself from falling. However, there was a cut within his mouth and blood dropped onto the floor.

 

“Oh no….”

The pirate who accidentally fired the rocket at the base of the Sky Park went pale as he stood on the observation wheel.

Suddenly, a wire flew down from somewhere and wrapped itself around his body.

That was from Kid’s wire gun. At some unknown time, Kid had gotten behind him while holding his wire gun. The other pirate was also tied up with a wire.

“Kid! You!”

“Hi!”

Kid jumped backward and fell from the frame of the observation wheel. The wire pulled on the pirates and their feet also slipped and they fell from the frame.

“Uwaaa–!!”

The wire that tied the pirates pulled on the rail and the two of them were left hanging in mid-air.

“Damn you! Let us down~~~~~!!”

Kid opened his hang glider and he waved at the pirates before flying off.

 

The base of the Sky Park that got hit started spewing out black smoke and the tip where the observation deck was started to tip downward and move slightly.

“Uwohh!” “I can’t hold on…..!!”

The floor of the observation deck tilted and the pirates slid across the ground.

Kyougoku who had ran up the steps to the observation steps sat Sonoko down on the floor. Then he pulled the string out of the hoodie he was wearing. He turned his head back to see that Jamaluddin had caught up with him.

“Makoto-san, you’re bleeding….”

Sonoko wiped the blood that was dripping from Makoto’s mouth.

“Sonoko-san. Pardon my rudeness.”

Kyougoku suddenly started to undo the rope style belt that Sonoko had wrapped around her waist.

“Eh….wait, what are you doing? In this kind of place, Makoto-san?! I’m telling you no~~~~!!

Sonoko blushed furiously then Makoto tied the string from the belt and from his parka together. After that, he took that string and passed it under Sonoko’s armpits and carried her on his back, furthermore, he passed the string under her legs and after pulling it tight, he stood up.

“Eh?! Kyaa!”

Kyougoku secured the complex knot around his own abdomen tightly and then placed his hands under Sonoko’s legs.

“It’s a back-carry knot. Sonoko-san, make absolutely sure not to leave my side this time.”

Sonoko’s mind went blank for a moment then her cheeks quickly grew red and she smiled.

Kyougoku carried Sonoko on his back and faced Jamaluddin once more.

“Uwohhh–!!”

Jamaluddin let out a war cry and dashed towards Kyougoku. Then he leapt high and unleashed a round house kick. Kyougoku quickly squatted and dodged the kick then he punched with his right fist. However, Jamaluddin crossed both his arms in front of himself to block the blow.

The two continued their fierce fight amidst the billowing black smoke and sparks.

At that time, the Sky Park that had lost its base and tipped forward was slowing moving forward as a huge mass.

In no time, all the lights in the hotel went off and Kyougoku and Jamaluddin who were facing off each other were gasping for breath, their shoulders heaving painfully.

Jamaluddin who had his hands on his knees slowly stood up. Kyougoku also wiped the blood from his mouth and got into a ready position.

Jamaluddin launched himself at Kyougoku who was already covered in wounds—then the Sky Park made a large movement. Kyougoku stopped dead in his tracks and looked around. Then Jamaluddin moved.

“Uwohhhhh–!!”

He raised his right foot high above his head and swung down towards Kyougoku’s head at an amazing speed–!

Inches before Jamaluddin’s foot struck Kyougoku’s head, Kyougoku shifted and dodged the blow. The heel that was swung down hit the floor and broke it.

When Jamaluddin straightened up his body, he looked around but Kyougoku was nowhere to be seen.

“Where is he?!”

Then when he realised that the smoke before him was shifting outward—Makoto who was emitting a fighting aura leapt out from the middle of the smoke.

“Uuuwohhhhh–!!”

Kyougoku trust his right fists deep into Jamaluddin’s abdomen and Jamaluddin’s huge body got sent flying and crashed into Eugene and the other pirates.

Kyougoku straightened himself up, his fist still in a thrusted out position.

“Wah, hic——….”

Sonoko, who was carried on his back, cried in a miserable way as she hugged Kyougoku. Kyougoku looked at her kindly then at that moment,

“Kyougoku-san! Hold onto something!!”

There was a voice coming from the steps. When he looked, he saw Conan, Ran and Kogoro grabbing onto the handrails and standing there.

The Sky Park tilted forward greatly and with a violent shake, its speed increased and continued to move its massive mass forward.

The deck chairs at the pool area tilted and slipped off while the pool water flowed out like a waterfall. The roof that straddled the three hotel towers had already separated from Tower One and Tower Two and eventually it was only supported by Tower Three. More than half of body of the Sky Park which was in the shape of a long boat and three hundred and forty meters in length was sticking out. And it looked like it was going to fall anytime.

Inspector Aiden and Zhong Han Chen stared  from the road that was next to Merlion Park then with a great roaring noise, the Sky Park slipped off and separated from Tower Three. The gigantic ship flew into the ocean known as the night sky–.

Then while the fire was raging on and smoke rose into the sky, it suddenly plunged into Marina Bay.

A strong wind pressure hit the roof and the bar’s tables and chairs were blown backwards. Conan, Ran and Kogorou clung onto the hand rails of the steps desperately. Kogorou also grasped onto the pole at the observation deck.

The pirates who were hanging from the observation wheel in midair saw the gigantic ship getting closer to them and they screamed as they flailed their limbs around.

“Uwahhhhh–!!”

The gigantic end of the Sky Park tipped down greatly and while a huge noise was being produced, it landed in the water at Marina Bay and a huge water column rose into the air.

The large amount of sea water that got sprayed upwards and poured down like rain on top of the fire on the ground. The fire around the hotel got extinguished—.

 

The rain of sea water also poured down on the Merlion Park on the other side of the shore and Zhong Han who stared flabbergasted at the Sky Park which had fallen onto Marina Bay fell on his rear end as though he was about to faint.

“Are you alright?”

Inspector Aiden spoke to him.

Zhong Han got supported by his bodyguards and he looked up blankly at the three towers that was missing its gigantic boat.

Leon Lowe and Nakatomi Reijirou had collapsed at the waterlogged pool area. The coconut trees and other vegetation were snapped in an atrocious way. The path that had deck chairs scattered all over it also had fish splashing around on it.

“Ugh……”

Just when Leon tried to push himself up, a small parachute descended before his eyes. Connected to its end was the “Fist of Blue Sapphire”, giving off a blue glow.

“You can have this back.”

A voice came from above his head and Leon looked up. In the sky which was drizzling, Kid was hovering upright with the wings of his hang glider spread out.

“This wasn’t the jewel that I’m searching for.”

Kid grinned and tipping his silk hat, his hang glider ascended and he flew off.

 

The observation where Kyougoku and Sonoko were at also got soaked and there was rubble scattered everywhere. The pole that Kyougoku was grabbing onto also bent significantly.

Kyougoku sat Sonoko on the counter of a stall that sold ice cream that was next to the bar and undid the string.

“I’m sorry, I knotted this a bit too tightly.”

While shrugging his wide shoulders, Kyougoku unraveled the string. That look of his was way too different from how he was when he was fighting and Sonoko stared at him with a relaxed expression.

Suddenly, she noticed that the plaster pasted horizontally over Kyougoku’s left brow had come off partially.

Sonoko reached her head out and peeled the plaster off.

“Ah, n, no. That’s……!”

Kyougoku pressed down on his left brow and frantically tried to get the plaster back but Sonoko pushed against his head and stopped him.

“That’s um….something like a lucky charm….”

“You….always had this on?”

“Ye, yes. Though I didn’t really want to tell because I’ll lose my pride as a man….”

Inside the plaster was a sticker print of Sonoko. Next to a smiling Sonoko was Kyougoku’s face but it was out of focus and almost cut off to the point it couldn’t be seen.

“So that’s it.”

Sonoko smiled like she was going to laugh. A single drop of water went along her cheek as her face got rained on.

“I always thought that you were the one protecting me….turns out I’m the one who’s protecting you, Makoto-san.”

Kyougoku who was averting his gaze, blushed furiously in embarrassment.

“Please return the plaster to me.”

“No way! I’m going to treasure it for the rest of my life~”

Ran who descended the staircase with Kogorou stepped out to the observation deck and she saw Sonoko and Kyougoku acting chummy with each other,

“….How lovey dovey….”

She muttered softly with a somewhat lonely expression. Behind her, Kogorou was bent over because his back hurt and he started hitting his back.

 

“Uu….ugh….”

Rishi, who had slumped over at the end of observation deck opened his eyes and before his eyes was Conan, standing in front of him.

He had his hand stuck in the pocket of his hoodie and was looking at Rishi with a stern expression.

“Y……who exactly are you? You’re not some ordinary kid, right?”

Rishi asked and Conan took his glasses out from his pocket and put it on.

“I’m Edogawa Conan, a detective.”

Numerous beams of light approached the Sky Park which had landed in the waters of Marina Bay. Those were the search lights of the police boats. That gigantic boat that was on the roof got illuminated by the search lights and it became a dominating presence on the ocean.
